I am Kim, 52 years old. My husband Tim is 57.

When I was 16, I was diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma and B-cell leukemia. I went through a series of major and minor surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation, and a bone marrow transplant. That year, I had to have a hysterectomy to remove a tumor, and I gradually lost the ability to move my legs. My boyfriend at the time, who is now my husband, visited me in the hospital every week.

God healed me. My boyfriend and I continued dating and later got married. We knew from the very beginning that we wanted to adopt children.

In our 8th year of marriage, we officially adopted our first child. Our eldest daughter was adopted domestically through the church we were serving at the time. She is now 25 and living independently.

Our second child is a boy, also adopted domestically in the US. We have kept in touch with his birth parents. He is now 18, and his dream is to develop video games.

Our third child is also a boy. When he was about 4 weeks old, he was found in Lianyungang, Jiangsu, born with a cleft lip and palate. We found him on our adoption agency's special needs list, and when we adopted him, he was only one year old.

He is 16 now, has been through many surgeries and treatments, and is a very brave teenager. He wants to be a chef in the future.

Our fourth child is beautiful; she is from Tianjin, China. We first saw her on a website, and after going through three adoption agencies, we finally successfully adopted her through an agency called "Rainbow Kids" and brought her home when she was just three years old.

She was born premature, with a cleft lip, cleft palate, and pituitary-induced dwarfism. She has undergone multiple surgeries and treatments. She also has some learning difficulties but has made great progress.

We are a busy adoptive family. I have currently been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer with bone metastasis and have started chemotherapy and immunotherapy.

My husband has had prostate issues for the past few years, and this fall, doctors diagnosed him with prostate cancer. He is receiving radiation therapy and will be okay.

We completely believe that God is in control. He healed me when I was 16, and He can heal me again.
